gcp was appointed in 2016 to assist the McBraida management with realising a long-term plan for their facility at Bridgeyate: the transformation of their sub-optimal facility into a state-of-the-art engineering production environment which would represent the progressive mentality of the company. This was initiated by the construction of an off-site car park to make way for the future factory extensions. gcp then developed the design to more than double the factory’s floorspace, coordinating input from other consultants including Ecologist, Landscape Architect and Transport Consultant. The comprehensive planning application submitted by gcp was unanimously supported by the council’s Development Committee.
