Maria is an experienced Office Manager who joined gcp in April 2013 to cover maternity leave and has been here ever since! Maria has over 15 years of experience as an Office Manager, working mainly with companies that are creative in one form or another, for example Graphic Design, Marketing and Timber Framers.

Maria’s role includes all aspects of the accounts, from preparing payroll, credit control, sales ledger and purchase ledger to producing the monthly accounts reports.  She also deals with all office Health and Safety including the CHAS assessments and making sure the team are up to date with any H&S training. Maria is also responsible for reporting to Board, HR, Office Operations and preparing Office Policies.

Maria says:

My role at gcp is very varied, each day is never the same and I have to think on my feet to keep the office running smoothly, I am often described as the ‘office mum’ !!

Outside of work I have 2 teenage boys that are both rugby mad so a lot of my time is taken up standing on the side of a rugby pitch. I am also the Team Manager for both the boys teams, with over 60 boys involved that takes a lot of organising (and patience).  With any spare time that I do have, I enjoy reading anything and everything or meeting up with friends and family, most often with a large glass of red wine in my hand.
